Afterschool Classes
Open to everyone in the community!
Last year, we were excited to offer new afterschool programs and weekend music classes to our school offerings.
Our music programs celebrated shared musical experiences that build lasting connections within families and among community members, laying the foundation for lifelong musical appreciation and learning.
Our garden club got the preschoolers looking at our community garden in the playground in a new way.
This year, we're excited to bring a new program to our community: Drama Club at CPNS! It will be a playful introduction to acting and storytelling, open to children in grades K-2.
The most exciting part is that you do not need to be currently enrolled in our school to participate in any of our Afterschool Programs. See more details about what we are offering for the 2026-2027 school year, and register below!

A music and movement class for young children and their caregivers! Children will experience music through instrument exploration, songs, stories, dance, and rhythmic movement. Each session will feature a different theme and music for you and your child to enjoy together.
In the class, we will create a nurturing musical community where families discover the joy of making music together. Through developmentally appropriate activities, the bonds between parents and children are strengthened while fostering each child's natural musicality.

Fall Session: Fairy Tales, the True Story!
Students will be introduced to basic acting and playwriting techniques by collaborating on the creation and performance of an original fairy tale. After acting out some traditional stories and reading a few “fractured fairy tales”, the class will select a minor character from a story and tell a new story from that character’s perspective.
Fall Session Dates: Wednesdays, 9/16-11/11
*PLEASE NOTE: Classes meet at Clifton Park Nursery School EXCEPT the final class on 11/11 which will take place from 1-3 at the Locust Lane Club House. There will be an invited performance following class at 3pm.

Drama Club at Clifton Park Nursery School invites young performers to discover the joy of storytelling. Every child leaves our program a little braver and a little prouder of who they are.
